This page exists so nobody can reasonably claim they were misled about what Traeva is. It repeats parts of the Terms of Service because these points matter more than the rest of that document put together.
Traeva does not give investment advice
Traeva is software. It applies fixed formulas to public filings and market prices and shows you the number that comes out.
No human being reviews any score before you see it. Nobody at Traeva knows who you are, what you own, what you earn, what you owe, when you need the money, or how you would feel about losing it. A tool that does not know any of that cannot be giving you advice, and nothing here should be read as if it were.
We are not registered as an investment adviser, dealer or portfolio manager with the Ontario Securities Commission or any other regulator, and we do not hold ourselves out as one.
What "Strong Buy" actually means
It means the model's composite score fell in the top band. That is all.
The labels — Strong Buy, Buy, Neutral, Avoid — are names for ranges of a number. They are not our opinion. They are not a recommendation. They are not a prediction that the price will go up. A company can score 90 and fall 40% the following week, and nothing about that would mean the model malfunctioned.
What the model cannot see
Being specific is more useful than a general warning. The score is computed from quarterly filings and price history. It therefore cannot see:
- Fraud. If reported figures are false, the score is computed from false figures and will look entirely normal.
- Anything not yet filed. Roughly half the score updates four times a year. Between filings the fundamental half of the model is looking at old news.
- Litigation, regulation, recalls, key-person risk, competitive threats, or anything else that appears in a newspaper rather than a balance sheet.
- Whether a cheap company is cheap for an excellent reason. The model finds price sitting below what the fundamentals support. Sometimes the market is wrong. Sometimes the market knows something.
Data may be wrong
Figures come from Alpha Vantage, Financial Modeling Prep, and SEC filings. We do not independently verify them. Data can be delayed, restated, mis-parsed or missing. Prices are not real-time and should never be relied on for execution.
No performance claims
We make no claim about how the model has performed or will perform. Any historical figure shown is drawn from past data and past performance does not predict future results.
If you ever see Traeva claim a return figure without stating exactly how it was measured and over what period, treat it as marketing rather than evidence.
You bear the risk
Investing carries risk of loss, including total loss of capital. Every decision you make is yours. If you act on something you read here and it goes badly, that outcome is yours and not ours.

Conflicts
The operator of Traeva may personally hold securities that appear on the site. No company pays to be listed, scored, or featured — the universe and the ranking are both mechanical, and there is no arrangement under which anyone could pay to change either.
